Meet Ashish Alfred, Chef and Owner of the Alfred Restaurant Group, who has quietly been sending ripples throughout the Bethesda culinary pond over the past few years after opening the award winning 4935 Bar and Kitchen. Chef Alfred was classically trained at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, and honed his skills in some of Manhattan’s best kitchens. Now at his new concept, Duck Duck Goose, the young chef is focused on meditatively expanding on the elements of the classical French discipline while subtly combining them with the palate tantalizing elements of modern American culinary culture.
